"Curious Deer"

Did a painting of a deer I photographed in Maudslay State Park in Newburyport, MA one morning when I was taking a short hike. The deer was kind enough to stay there while I patiently put my zoom lens on my camera. After a couple shots he took off. I added a lot of broken color for an impressionistic effect. Thanks for visiting!

"Curiosity"

This is a charming piece of three children apparently mesmerized by something in the sand. It's a bright, sunny day at the beach and the curiosity of the children led them to this cameo pose. This was a tough one getting the figures accurate and the values correct. Thanks for visiting!

"O Christmas Tree"

This was a quick sketch I did originally without much background or shading. After about a year I went back to it and created a more finished piece. I used charcoal, sharpie pen, white conte´pencil, kneaded eraser and my fingers! It's an interesting mix of textures, values, mediums, and methods. I hope you like it! Thanks for visiting!
