"Autumn River View"

This piece of work started out as a plein air piece along the Merrimack river near my home. It was the last plein air adventure I did this year because it was an early day in November and just happened to be unusually warm that day. I only had about an hour before it got very cool and I lost all my sun. I trudged on for another half hour and then called it a day. I've worked it up in the studio since then and here is the finished piece. You can see the remnants of an old bridge that used to be there. I really like the colors in this late autumn scene.
