"Covered Bridge, Hopkinton"

I went out on a short little trip in the country to enjoy the unusually warm weather we had on March 9th here in New Hampshire. What a beautiful day! I saw this covered bridge and decided to do a quick sketch so I set up my lawn chair in a dirt turnaround area and sketched this piece in about 1/2 hour. Just practice. Thanks for visiting!

"Souhegan River"

This is a section of the Souhegan River in Wilton, NH. It winds along the road along Route 31 among other places. I pulled off into a small rest area and walked through a small patch of woods to set up my easel and sketch the scene. I reworked it in the studio and present the finished piece here.
